Giving young talent prospects - VOSSEN is a traditional company with a long history and solid craftsmanship. We are happy to pass on our know-how to young people, because education is a particularly valuable asset for us.

THE FOCUS IS ON PEOPLE

Our apprentices (trainees) are supported individually and with the utmost care right from the start - they are our future. We provide them with comprehensive know-how that makes them fit for the challenges of tomorrow. This is ensured by our promising apprenticeships with excellent job prospects as well as ongoing knowledge transfer in the form of training courses, seminars and workshops.

200 PERCENT OPPORTUNITIES

What is typical for girls and boys? Girls in professions for boys and boys in typical girls' professions - that's what we like to promote at VOSSEN! That's why we support the "200 percent opportunities" initiative, which aims to break down gender stereotypes in professional life. Because sometimes individual talents are not where you expect them to be.

PROMOTING TALENT

We offer further opportunities to strengthen job prospects as part of the apprenticeship with Matura, our own apprentice academy and VOSSEN Future Talents Mentoring. This program promotes individual talents and prepares talented individuals for management tasks through personal coaching. The measures are particularly open to young people from low-income families.

We see choosing the right apprenticeship as an important prerequisite for developing your own personality in your job and staying motivated. Because if you enjoy your job, you will remain open to new perspectives:

1.) Textile chemistry - The towel should be soft, colorful and pleasant. This apprenticeship teaches what is needed to achieve this.

2) Textile technology - This apprenticeship provides the necessary knowledge to keep 31 weaving machines running around the clock.

3) Office clerk - An all-round apprenticeship to run a company like VOSSEN economically. Numerical skills are required here.

4) Information technology/operating technology - This area provides the know-how for the latest hardware technology of our machines.

5) Electrical engineering - Keeping our machines running smoothly - that's what this apprenticeship is all about. A job for technical talents.

6) Textile design - Which raw material is used to obtain the desired product? This exciting profession perfectly combines technology and development.

7) E-commerce clerk - E-commerce clerks are responsible for online stores and product marketing.

8) Freight forwarding logistics - For all those who want to move something in the truest sense of the word, namely our goods from Jennersdorf to around 45 countries around the world.

What is special about the VOSSEN Academy for apprentices?

It was set up with the aim of preparing our apprentices in the best possible way for the different requirements of the modern working world in the textile sector. The special thing about it is that this is not only achieved through ongoing knowledge transfer in the form of specialist workshops and seminars, but also through regular networking meetings - and in an informal atmosphere! For example, our young colleagues have the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from each other at their own breakfast events and excursions. A nice side effect: this strengthens the team spirit and the "we care" feeling!

What prospects does VOSSEN offer its apprentices after their training?

Of course, we actively continue to live the "we care" concept at every career level: it is part of VOSSEN's trademark that we take on our apprentices after their training. Targeted top seminars enable them to develop into highly specialized specialists and climb the career ladder: For example, former apprentices from the textile technology/textile chemistry departments are currently employed as department managers, shift supervisors and team leaders. In addition, we offer our employees company apartments in the immediate vicinity of the company premises and flexible working time models.
