Living regionality - Made in Austria

Gelebte Regionalität - Made in Austria

Regional production - for VOSSEN this is more than just a designation of origin. It is a seal of quality that characterizes our products and of which we are particularly proud.

Especially in times of increasing globalization and cheap goods from the Far East, local regions are becoming increasingly important as guardians of quality - and our Burgenland production site in Jennersdorf is undoubtedly one of them! Regionality not only reduces challenges in supply chains, but also strengthens value creation in the immediate home region and secures jobs for local people - which overall also benefits Austria as a business location.

Vegan towels from Austria

VOSSEN is one of the last remaining textile manufacturers in Austria with regional production. We are proud of our plant in Jennersdorf and our 100% Austrian towels. In 2019, we switched to purely vegan production, which has since been consistently extended to other product lines. Even our packaging is now made from vegan, plant-based ingredients. Austrian production has even more advantages: According to domestic laws, quality controls are much stricter than in international comparison. VOSSEN voluntarily and willingly submits to these strict controls because we want to ensure that we deliver the best possible quality.

Of course, regionality is not limited to Jennersdorf, but also includes Europe. By sourcing raw materials from Europe, we ensure short transportation routes and thus save a lot of CO2. After all, truck traffic in Austria alone produces more than 8.8 million tons of CO2 every year. Sustainable fibres, for example from Austria and Germany, ensure that our production is even more environmentally friendly.

A heart for the region

Our company shapes the entire region and we are happy to take on this responsibility. VOSSEN cooperates with regional institutions such as schools and retirement homes. We are a member of the regional waste water association and are looking for solutions to reduce mountains of waste and shorten transportation routes - all to relieve the burden on the region.
