One of the Austrian gold medals was won by seamstress Anna Maria Theurl from East Tyrol, who works at VOSSEN in Jennersdorf. Together with Lisa Lintschinger from Salzburg, she competed as a duo and was able to demonstrate her skills in the field of fashion technology.
Their task was to design a parka for employees of an amusement park, draw the pattern for it, sew it and finally present it. Skills in terms of design, cut, creativity and presentation competence were therefore required. This is the first gold medal for Burgenland.
Theurl comes from East Tyrol and completed her training at the fashion school in Graz. She works as a textile designer at Vossen Jennersdorf. Her primary task is to create the weaving cards for the weaving machines, says Anna Maria Theurl.
"The product properties of the fabric designs are defined in our office. My tasks also include the implementation and development of prototypes. I also create customer-specific designs for the B2B sector. In technical product development, I am an important link between the studio and production," says Theurl.
