VOSSEN, based in Jennersdorf, Austria, is one of the leading terry towel manufacturers in Europe. Around 5.3 million high-quality terry products - such as towels, bath towels, bathrobes and bath rugs - are produced every year.
VOSSEN relies on ecologically compatible materials and sustainable production methods in the manufacture of all its collections. The responsible treatment of nature is deeply rooted in the company's mission statement through the VOSSEN RESPECT concept. It reflects the philosophy of sustainable thinking and action. It is based on respect and appreciation for the people we work with and respect for the society and environment in which we live. This is achieved through the conscious choice of a production site in Austria with ongoing investments in active climate and environmental protection as well as a clear commitment to social responsibility towards our fellow human beings. In this way, VOSSEN is making an intensive contribution to the future of this and future generations.
"We stand for towels with value, long-lasting quality textiles that our customers will enjoy for years to come. Our production facility is located in the middle of a nature park. All towels are designed there and manufactured with the utmost care. Our production process is therefore closely linked to nature and that fills us with pride," says Michael Unger, Managing Director for Marketing and Sales.
Vossen is Green
The water required for production is taken from the Raab, a river in the region, and after the dyeing process is complete, it is treated so cleanly that it can be returned directly to the municipal wastewater. VOSSEN dyes using the environmentally friendly cold block dyeing process. Instead of using heat and chemicals, the color is applied to the fabric using a cold process - this saves water and energy and is also kind to the skin. VOSSEN produces with eco-electricity from wind, biomass and sun. The company is proud of its above-average low carbon footprint. All products are manufactured under environmentally friendly processes, safe and socially responsible working conditions and are tested for harmful substances. Lint waste generated during the production of our towels is recycled into insulating material.
VOSSEN touches with its unique color concepts. Over 130 colors are currently available in the range and the number is constantly increasing. Every year, 1.3 million running meters of raw material pass through the dyeing plant - a length that would take you 33 times around the world. And it is precisely this vision that VOSSEN is pursuing - to bring the towels to as many countries in the world as possible. The company is well on the way to achieving this. The products are now exported to 45 countries around the world.
An in-house creative team in the VOSSEN design studio works on color and design trends as well as the processing of new materials. Numerous ideas and innovations originate there. For example, VOSSEN Jennersdorf created the world's first certified vegan towel produced entirely without animal substances. All VOSSEN towels are now 100% vegan.
Feel good with VOSSEN
A towel is more than just an article of daily use. It is a piece of furniture that gives a bathroom a stylish atmosphere, but much more than that, it is a feel-good product. After a relaxing shower, drying off with fluffy VOSSEN towels creates a cozy and pleasant feeling on the skin.
"We want our customers to feel good all round. Our terry products are not only particularly pleasant on the skin, but also leave our consumers with a good feeling thanks to the knowledge of their production conditions. It is important to more and more people to make the world a little better by making responsible purchasing decisions," says Michael Unger.
Retailers are also enthusiastic about VOSSEN. For years, the textile company from Jennersdorf has been presenting unique POS concepts that showcase terry products in a special way at the POS and thus ensure optimum sales figures. VOSSEN sees itself not just as a supplier, but much more as a partner and provider of ideas for retailers. An emotional store concept, attention-grabbing shop window ideas, sales-generating promotions such as embroidery or recycling campaigns, exciting events such as atmospheric fashion shows are just a few examples of this.
