Out of hibernation and into new ideas and energy! A bit of spring cleaning in the house and apartment and even a bit for body and mind. Leave the old behind and make room for the new. Spring really is the ideal time for this process. Our mood lifts as our body produces more of the happiness hormone serotonin.
The sun warms our thoughts and our bodies with its first warm rays! New ideas and dreams are dancing around in our heads, waiting to become reality. Why not start in the here and now? But what should we start with?
The thing that screams loudest inside you is probably the most urgent. Is it a long-awaited wish? Is it simply to create order? There are plans lying dormant inside everyone that are just waiting to be turned into action!
With our tips, change is easy!
Tip 1: Make a wish!
Make a list of all the thoughts and to-do's that have been buzzing around in your head for a long time! Once you've got everything down on paper, read through it again line by line. Distinguish between a wish or dream that can be realized in the long term and write it down on a separate sheet of paper. Now go inside yourself and try to write down the steps you need to take to realize your dream or long-awaited wish. Create a timetable to keep track of how far you are on your journey!
Tip 2: Climb the "to-do summit" with small steps!
Now it's about all the other to-do's on the list you've created. All the small and large everyday tasks that plague us all. For some people, this list is already so long that you don't even want to look at it anymore, because looking at all the many tasks makes you feel overwhelmed. Where should I start? It makes you want to bury your head in the sand. But we don't give up that easily. Our tip: First of all, decide: What on my list is urgent and what is important? Do the urgent tasks first! From now on, divide all the "only" important things on your list into small portions. After all, you don't climb a mountain in one step, but proceed in stages. For example, take on one or two tasks a day and watch the to-do mountain get smaller and smaller. A wonderful, light feeling!
Tip 3: Less stuff - more time
Without question, we live in a time of abundance and many of us live in a state of prosperity. We have a lot of stuff, but little time. And these two things actually influence each other significantly. The more we have, the more we are tied to it. Our tip: create more free space and time again by getting rid of things that are actually unused but still take up space and time. Get rid of superfluous things by giving them away or donating them to charity, for example. And if you are overwhelmed by this alone and find it difficult to part with certain items or items of clothing, invite a friend to help you decide what can go.
Tip 4: Skin care
And now it's all about your body. Do something good for your skin for once. The skin is our largest organ and yet it is usually very neglected. But especially after the cold winter months, it needs more of your attention. This is because the air in winter is usually dry and the heating air indoors is particularly hard on our skin. An appointment at a beauty salon would of course be wonderful! However, if time is short, our skin can be revived with simple methods that can be used at home. A natural scrub made from olive oil and sea salt, for example, is quick to conjure up! But it's even easier if you massage your skin with a towel to gently remove dead skin. Gentle, circular movements ensure good blood circulation and also make the skin look fresher.
Tip 5: Start every day with a little exercise!
The sun salutation is probably the best way to welcome the sun and a new day! The sun salutation comes from yoga and is a flowing sequence of asanas, i.e. certain poses that warm and stimulate your body and vary depending on the yoga tradition. Ideally, you should practise the sun salutation immediately after getting up. It gets your cardiovascular system going and activates all the important muscle groups. With just a few passes, your body and mind will be energized to start the day stronger and to cope with the demands of everyday life more easily. In less than 10 minutes, you can lay the foundations for your perfect day!
We wish you lots of fun and stamina!
